I either have a bug or pretty bad allergies. My nose is plugged up so that I couldn't breathe last night. I finally passed out around 4/4.30am while watching Drake & Josh. I must have snored something fierce because my throat is all dry and scratchy and I can't stop doing the annoying dry throat cough :/ I'm drinking a lot of water but it's not helping. My mom did go out to get me Ricola cough drops and chicken soup though. That should help. Hopefully. It better! I have Frankenstein to watch this weekend. Although, as I'm writing this, my lungs are starting to hurt :/ In order to slightly amuse myself and to keep myself from dwelling too much on it, whenever I cough, I try to fake the Zoolander black lung cough.

I had a weird dream last night. It had Jack and Daniel as a couple but Jack was a Jack/Sherlock hybrid and Daniel was a Daniel/John hybrid. They looked like Jack and Daniel but they acted like a mix of them plus Sherlock and John. Whatever, Jack and Daniel were making out so I wasn't about to start complaining.

My brother was watching Enterprise earlier today and it was "In a Mirror, Darkly" but he had no idea what was going on, so I showed him "Mirror, Mirror" and he kept going 'Oh, I get it now! That must be what they were referencing.' It was amusing to watch :D

My Starfleet sweatshirt was shipped and expected delivery is April 6th!! Want it now, but I guess I can wait. Since I don't really have a choice :P

And that is all that is noteworthy, atm. I've been applying to jobs and I had my phone interview with unemployment so I guess I'll find out if I'm getting anything in about 10 days. What an exciting life I lead :P

I had a dream about Merlin last night. Spoilers for latest episode )

Over the weekend I saw High School Musical 3 with my sister. I enjoyed it ;) My favorite part )

Also, stripper!Zac )

In Junjou Romantica news, I got my poster in the mail today. That was quick. Also, episode 4 has been subbed! And it looks like the next episode, six, will be Egoist as well. Unfortunately, it's from Volume 8 which isn't released here until January so I won't know what's going on. But that's okay because that's technically how I got into this fandom anyway. Anime first; manga second. I feel bad for anyone who's favorite couple is Terrorist though. Hell, even I feel like watching some Terrorist right now.

In RL news, one of my close friends got laid off over the weekend. She was only there for 4 1/2 months. And she's getting married in March :(

Hopefully she'll come with me to the job fair this Thursday.

Psych )

-----------------------

So this morning, I woke up at 7am and couldn't go back to sleep. Not cool on a Saturday :/ So I turned on the TV and watched 3 episodes of I Love Lucy before the family went to Target and then my sister and I saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D.

I had a good dream last night. I can't remember all of it, dammit, but this is what I do remember. It involved The Middleman. Basically I was watching an episode in my head. The part I can't remember was the case they were working on. But I do remember the Middleman telling someone over the phone to "Go to bed!" Wendy overhears him and says "Boss, no! 'Go to bed!?' That's your phrase?" And then she pretended to cry/be horrified. But the best part of the dream was that this 'episode' had an extra scene at the end. Wendy, Lacey, and the Middleman were on the couch watching something, but they were all in their PJs - sleepover style. The Middleman was wearing fuzzy footie PJs <3 I remember thinking 'forget everything else, when I need some cheering up, I want to hang out with the Middleman, wear footie PJs, and watch Disney movies.'

*sneeze*

I'm sick :(
Nothing too bad (yet), just congested in the head. And I don't think I've ever sneezed this much in my life.

For the past four nights, I think, the earliest I've gone to bed is 4 am. The latest was 6 am. And I've also watched about 20 hours of Psych this weekend. Watched all of the first season, then some episodes again with the commentary, and then some again just for fun. Still haven't quite gotten my fill yet. I need the second season on DVD asap. I've watched so much that I had a dream last night where I was working a case with Lassiter. I don't remember what happened though. Also, I've realized that one of the reasons I like Shawn and Lassiter's interactions so much is that it reminds me of Rimmer and Lister.

Friday night, my friends and I went to a midnight showing of Jurassic Park. The theatre was completely full. It was awesome though. The whole audience cheered every time we saw a character for the first time (including Mr. DNA). So much fun <3 Next weekend is The Goonies but I'm going home for Mother's Day.

Saturday I did nothing but watch Psych.

Last night my friend and I went to see Lewis Black live. Not surprisingly, he was great. I think Santa Cruz has a habit of scarring for life anyone who visits though. We didn't cheer enough for Santa (Lewis Black's presidential candidate) so Lewis said we were all bitter fuckers who weren't going to get anything for Christmas ^_^ And there was someone in the audience who wouldn't stop laughing, but they had one of those weird laughs that make you laugh too. Lewis Black said that he thought it was a woman laughing, but he couldn't be sure. It could have also been a pony. Basically, it was a fun night. Oh, and the guy who ripped my ticket when I got into the theatre had the most gorgeous eyes. I have never seen eyes that green and bright in real life.

Finally, is it May 22nd yet?!

So I had a rather interesting dream last night. I suppose I usually do, but I don't always remember them. Anyway, this one was about Jon Stewart being a writer for Ashes to Ashes and spoilers )

Is there some disease or affliction I don't know about which causes someone to be physically unable to pluralize nouns? I'm reading someone's essay for the classes (now I'm pluralizing when I don't have to) I'm a reader for, and I am adding S's everywhere. Eight pages of singular nouns! I just don't get it...

Also, 30 Days of Night was an all right movie. I was expecting it to be a lot more scary. I'm fine that it wasn't though. Really. I still ended up having a nightmare about zombies AGAIN (even though the freaking movie wasn't even about zombies)! I'm starting to think I have a serious problem. Zombies shouldn't be a realistic fear you have. Neither should velociraptors for that matter...
spacemonkeyluvn: (sfu:: ahhhh!)
Being a girl really sucks every now and then. It feels like a Velociraptor is tearing apart my uterus with its massive claws.

So, Simon Pegg as Scotty, eh? I love the man, of course, but I don't know... I'm really interested to see how this all works out. However, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg in the same movie would be all kinds of awesome.

Ummm... Supernatural gave me nightmares where my grandma was sucking the life out of my mom and while trying to save her I found out that my mom was a changeling o_0

SGA - I <3 Ronan and I <3 Teal'c. Also, I had no idea that the The Chairman from Iron Chef America was an actor. Apparently a very busy actor.

Okay, so I've only seen a few episodes of Dexter and now I've seen a couple of episodes of Six Feet Under. I seem to be developing a weird fixation with Michael C. Hall. I really need to watch more/all of those shows.
[Also, can I just say how much I love the box design for Six Feet Under - The Complete Series Gift Set?]

I've also just discovered, thanks to this wonderful article in Time, that Ryan Gosling (with friends) opened a Moroccan restaurant in Beverly Hills called Tagine. So, yeah. Road trip anyone? Apparently he even sometimes helps out in the kitchen.

ETA: I love how for my last two posts, the icons have been people screaming. There's something extremely hilarious in that expression XD
spacemonkeyluvn: (heroes:: Petrelli brothers)
Heroes tonight!!
is it coming back for another season, because depending on how it ends, i'm just wondering what they could possibly do next season? not only is it coming back, but it's going to have a spin-off as well. yay? and thank you to [livejournal.com profile] umeedmerchant for the link/info

last night i had a couple of weird dreams and at least two of them involved Terrence Mann. in the first dream, i was in class (i don't know which class though; it felt more like high school) and i was listening to Les Mis on my CD player when the teacher looked at me with that put-it-away-before-i-take-it-away look. when i took off the headphones, the whole class could hear the song (one of Javert's songs) and the teacher, who just happened to be Terrence Mann, started singing along. the second dream was a bit more unsettling. in the dream, my mom calls to tell me that Terrence Mann had passed away. i don't remember much else, other than i was very upset and i kept thinking how there would be no more Dresden Files. i think i might have actually started to cry too. not the best thing to wake up to- i thought it was real for a few minutes.

this weekend was nothing but stress (as the next few weeks will be), but i actually managed to finish the homework that was due today. before today! normally, i'd be frantically reading articles on Lithic debitage and analysis, but this week, they're already done. of course, instead, i'm working on a 5-6 page methodology literature review for my Archaeological Research Design paper/research proposal that's due tomorrow.

this made me feel a little better, though. i think it's the giant crotch behind their heads that brings it to a whole new level ^_^

EDIT: the Best Week Ever Blog would post this link while i'm trying to do homework. however, i can't stay mad at them. they posted a clip from The Mighty Boosh. now, which to watch first- TV or movies?
spacemonkeyluvn: (sg1:: gate 1)
has it really been over a month since i last posted? well, i'm not dead. at least i don't think so...

today is Friday the 13th and it's the return of the 'Gates, but i'm just not exicted. granted i've already seen the series finale of SG1. i had things to say about it, links i wanted to ... link to, but i get tired when i think about Stargate. i just need a break from it for a while. i'll give my last respects later. i also have pictures to upload. before i watched the series finale, i made a cake and decorated it like a Stargate (or at least my best attempt at a 'Gate).

i am being kept busy by my newest obsessions- The Dresden Files and Heroes (only took me until near the end of the seasons to really get into them). i'm actually looking forward to Heroes' return more than i thought i would be. it's fun to be excited about something. in fact, the other day i had a dream about Heroes: in my dream, Peter was pregnant with Nathan's child. Peter was asking Nathan what are they going to do about their mom; what they were going to tell her, Nathan's wife, and Nathan's political career. Nathan just smiled, held Peter's face in his hands and kissed him. the whole 'brotherly love' wasn't weird (those two are all over each other), but i don't even read mpreg o_0 still, lovely dream.

i'm really enjoying Raines, The Black Donnellys makes me happy (Kevin!), and the latest ep of Drake & Josh was just fantastic- funny, cute, ridiculous. House, NCIS, and Boston Legal are still interesting, but i'm just not feeling the *squee* right now. but i'm squeeing big time over the Dresden Files. i've seen all the eps (season finale this Sunday!), i'm on book two, and i am more than a little in love with Bob. i haven't fallen this hard for a character in a while. although i did fall pretty hard for Ianto. 'What About Bob?' and 'Things That Go Bump' were fantastic and as usual, just when i thought i couldn't love Bob more, i do. and as much as i'm loving book!Bob, tv!Bob is starting to own my soul. i want to marry him and have little ghost!babies with him. and Harry/Bob is currently occupying about 70% of my thoughts while i'm awake. i have no idea how much when i'm asleep.

school is school. classes are getting interesting though. this Monday i get to flintknap and make my own stone tools. here's hoping i don't get flakes in my eye *crosses fingers* also, sometimes, i really love my school- Donkey Kong Climbs E2 or What To Do With 6400 Post-Its and Time to Kill.

oh, and over the weekend i went to Disneyland for my friend's 21st birthday. i hate flying. oh good lord, i hate flying. but it did allow me to finish "Storm Front." plus, i just love hanging out in hotel rooms with my friends. i only drank Diet Snapple, but i was just as loud and obnoxious as the rest of them.

tonight, i'll watch the behind-the-scenes thing for SG1, but then i'm going downtown for a midnight showing of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khaaaaaaan! i am so going to cry.
spacemonkeyluvn: (vince/howard 'don't touch!')
my feet are so Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting sore!!

what have i been up to? i finally watched Everything is Illuminated and Dorian Blues. i really liked Everything. more than i thought i would actually. it was funny and touching and yeah. go rent it. Dorian Blues was not as satisfying. i liked it alright, but i felt it ended really abruptly.

today i was going to go deposit money into my account, drop off the movies at Blockbuster, whatever. then i get a call from my friends saying that Tanya (who lives in Walnut Creek) was there, Nata wasn't working, and Lexis skipped school today. so i had my mom drop me off at Lexis' house. we hung out in her room reading gossip magazines and visiting MySpace's of former classmates to see what they were up to and how they looked now. then we got hungry, so we went for pupusas (OMG so good!). then we were bored, so we went to Good Vibrations. i won't say who got what, but we all got something ^_^ and while there, i was looking at a bottle of chocolate body paint and something poked my hand. there was a brush on the back with a bamboo handle and i had just gotten a splinter. wtf?! how do i go into a sex shop and get a splinter? i think i need to live in a padded room for my own safety ;) oh, and i decided to wear my new pair of Converse shoes because i thought we weren't going anywhere and man, was i sorry! i now have giant blisters on my little toes and back heels. stupid shoes! :(

my Entropy Effect book and Mighty Boosh CDs have shipped, so yay! that :D

and now EssGeeWun )

Lantis )

Psych )

and now the weird-ass dream i had the other night which i partly blame on The Mighty Boosh ep 'Bollo' and partly on every bad sci-fi movie i've seen. i want my burrito which is in the fridge, but everyone's asleep and i don't want to wake up my grandma and mom so that they can just start yelling at each other again )
