Between seeing Paul yesterday afternoon and then watching a marathon of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on SyFy right before bed, I had some effed up dreams/nightmares last night. The kind where you wake up with a jolt and a bit of a yell at 3am and you can't go back to sleep because every time you close your eyes you feel like something's there. I swear I felt something touch my shoulder. And in case you didn't know, I've been fascinated and SCARED TO DEATH of aliens and abductions since I was a kid. While I don't think they'd really bother with most of the crap people claim they do, the thought of it all being real is enough to terrify me. The TNG episode where some of the crew gets abducted, sliced up, and put back together stills bothers me. YOU'RE ALREADY IN SPACE AND YOU'RE STILL GETTING ABDUCTED?! I have to turn the volume down whenever I hear that clicking noise. *shudder*

So about that movie, Paul... (spoilers within) )

Where was I going with this? Ummm... I laughed out loud quite a few times and was quite entertained. I look forward to adding this to my DVD collection when it comes out. Might even go see it in the theater again. I love their sense of humor and even though I felt like poop again as soon as the movie was over, for a couple hours I had a wonderful time :D

But I'm still feeling icky. Thankfully, I have new Community tonight and we have Dogma from Netflix. I still have a few other things I really need to do, but maybe I can squeeze them in tomorrow. I'm just not feeling the motivation today. It figures that the one night I actually go to sleep early because I'm so tired, I end up having nightmares about being abducted and barely get any sleep :/
spacemonkeyluvn: (fregg:: ehyyyy!)

And I seem to be coming down with something. I'm not sure. I've been feeling slightly nauseated for a couple days (which I almost never feel) and I just feel off and generally icky all over. My body is getting that sore all over feeling you get when you usually have a fever and I'm restless. I already put my go-to sick!movie in the DVD player (TMNT) and I'm craving the chicken noodle soup from Safeway and ginger ale. That can't be a good sign. Plus I have these spots/sores on my tongue which are apparently a sign that my body's fighting something. IDK I have a very strange body. It's nothing contagious, but I'd get them every now and then and it took FOREVER for a doctor to tell me what they were. They really hurt if I have anything like lemon or ketchup. I'll know I'm in trouble though when I get the urge to crawl into a corner. That is a sure sign I'm sick.

I'm supposed to see a friend tomorrow. She's getting an MRI on her knee and we were going to hang out and get lunch first. But she has to call in tomorrow morning and see if she's needed for jury duty so we'll see what happens. I both want to see her and just stay in and sleep. Although that's pretty much all my lazy ass does these days. Ugh, I've got to do something about that. But not right now. Now I go to sleep.

One of my favorite parts about Edgar, Nick, and Simon writing their own Hot Fuzz slash fic on Twitter (other than the WHOLE THING) is this comment on Edgar's blog: You realise this counts as canon to us now, right? That and the fact that Edgar ships Nick and Simon even more than they ship each other (@edgarwright @camposova I think the fact that I have out-slashed Pegg & Frost by 3 to 1 speaks volumes about me. Uh…) <3 <3 <3

OH! OH! And in Psych / House news, Television stars James Roday ("Psych"), Michael Weston ("House, M.D.") and Amanda Detmer ("Private Practice") will headline the world premiere of Gabe McKinley's Extinction in Los Angeles. The dark comedy centers on "College buddies Max (Weston) and Finn (Roday) [who] meet in Atlantic City, where they traditionally spend their vacations in the fast lane, religiously drinking, drugging and chasing women," according to an announcement. "But this time something is different, and thwarted expectations precipitate a dangerous showdown between the two friends."

Why can't I be in LA? *pouts*

Today there's new Community, The Jeff Dunham Show, and Milla Jovovich guest judges on Project Runway. Not a bad schedule.

In other news:

* I'm saving for a new computer and looking around for deals
* I paid off the rest of my medical bills, so that's at least one less thing to worry about
* I ordered a couple of belts from Torrid because they were having a 50% off clearance sale and I basically got 3 belts for the regular price of one (I'm going to return the one I bought for my birthday because I never even wore it and it still has the tag and everything)
* I bought two jackets (a cute brown one from work and a hot pink wool coat from Old Navy)
* I caved and bought myself a Jonas Brothers fanclub membership (DON'T JUDGE ME)

and most importantly
* I clearly need to stop spending money

Because I need to save for a computer, other than bills and maybe food, I really need to NOT spend any more money for at least a month. I have some money in a savings account, but still. I'm never going to get my own place at this rate. And good Lord, do I ever want to move out of here. Minimum wage makes it hard to save though. You buy some groceries and half of your savings is gone.

In conclusion, TOMA AND A TINY PUPPY!!!!!

Homg, my feet hurt. Somebody got their schedule mixed up and thought they worked tomorrow instead of today, so I ended up working a stretch from 9am-8:30pm. I had days like that at my old job, but there I was sitting down at a computer and not on my feet for the full 11 hours. Thank God I have tomorrow off.

Also, some people really have no shame, lol. I don't mind looking at your bra or pants for your size, but there is no need to actually remove your bra. Thank you, but I could have just as easily gone the whole day without seeing your boobs. All I could do was stare at her face, but those things were HUGE. And I imagine, rather painful/uncomfortable to have to carry around everywhere.

It's so cold in here I'm extremely tempted to go down to the pool and just take a nap in the hot tub. Too bad it's so steamy in there. Otherwise I'd love to sit in there and listen to my iPod... I just made myself even colder.

Ugh! I had forgotten that the subbing team for Voice said they were going to be late in getting eps 5 and 6 up. I guess Akihabara@DEEP it is then!

PS Meme )

Also, it looks like The Middleman is no more :( Not that I didn't see this coming, but it still really sucks.

But in good news, Simon Pegg is gonna be a daddy!!!! <3

I'm at work and while adding articles to a database, I happened across an author with a most interesting name - Gaylene Pron ^_^

Because it's Monday and I think people need to start of the day in a good mood, here's Simon Pegg and Sexy Jesus.

I may also have read some Heroes spoilers last night and then had a dream about Peter and Nathan. I don't remember what the dream was about, but it was nice to see the Petrelli bros again. Also, new Middleman tonight!!!

ETA: Well, this entry was supposed to be a couple hours ago, but the server went down here at work and I had NO INTERNET DURING MY LUNCH BREAK! What the hell am I supposed to do during lunch? Eating only takes me like 10 minutes max. *hugs internet*

Doctor Who + Star Trek + Shakespeare =

I wonder if Q is a Time Lord? Or if the Time Lords are really Qs...?

Also, these pictures are all kinds of adorable.

The movie theatre down the street from my apartment is going to be having a midnight showing of Shaun of the Dead on February 22nd. I'm definitely going. I never got to see it in theatres the first time around. And the Friday after, they're showing Hot Fuzz =D

I was just reading the website for the theatre and I think they might have made a mistake. What do you think? )

ETA: They changed it :) It now says, )

[ profile] dimlondeiel posted this disturbing poster for Simon Pegg's new movie:

What the hell did they do to Simon's face?!
spacemonkeyluvn: (sfu:: ahhhh!)
Being a girl really sucks every now and then. It feels like a Velociraptor is tearing apart my uterus with its massive claws.

So, Simon Pegg as Scotty, eh? I love the man, of course, but I don't know... I'm really interested to see how this all works out. However, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg in the same movie would be all kinds of awesome.

Ummm... Supernatural gave me nightmares where my grandma was sucking the life out of my mom and while trying to save her I found out that my mom was a changeling o_0

SGA - I <3 Ronan and I <3 Teal'c. Also, I had no idea that the The Chairman from Iron Chef America was an actor. Apparently a very busy actor.

Okay, so I've only seen a few episodes of Dexter and now I've seen a couple of episodes of Six Feet Under. I seem to be developing a weird fixation with Michael C. Hall. I really need to watch more/all of those shows.
[Also, can I just say how much I love the box design for Six Feet Under - The Complete Series Gift Set?]

I've also just discovered, thanks to this wonderful article in Time, that Ryan Gosling (with friends) opened a Moroccan restaurant in Beverly Hills called Tagine. So, yeah. Road trip anyone? Apparently he even sometimes helps out in the kitchen.

ETA: I love how for my last two posts, the icons have been people screaming. There's something extremely hilarious in that expression XD

So, I'm looking through this set of portraits of Simon Pegg and I notice that the description for the pictures says "the star of 'sean of the dean'..." o_0

The pictures are nice though. There are also portraits of John Simm, Al Gore, U2 and Hot Fuzz among others.

Two of my favorite John Simm portraits (from that set) include: )
