spacemonkeyluvn: (sg1:: gate 1)

has it really been over a month since i last posted? well, i'm not dead. at least i don't think so...

today is Friday the 13th and it's the return of the 'Gates, but i'm just not exicted. granted i've already seen the series finale of SG1. i had things to say about it, links i wanted to ... link to, but i get tired when i think about Stargate. i just need a break from it for a while. i'll give my last respects later. i also have pictures to upload. before i watched the series finale, i made a cake and decorated it like a Stargate (or at least my best attempt at a 'Gate).

i am being kept busy by my newest obsessions- The Dresden Files and Heroes (only took me until near the end of the seasons to really get into them). i'm actually looking forward to Heroes' return more than i thought i would be. it's fun to be excited about something. in fact, the other day i had a dream about Heroes: in my dream, Peter was pregnant with Nathan's child. Peter was asking Nathan what are they going to do about their mom; what they were going to tell her, Nathan's wife, and Nathan's political career. Nathan just smiled, held Peter's face in his hands and kissed him. the whole 'brotherly love' wasn't weird (those two are all over each other), but i don't even read mpreg o_0 still, lovely dream.

i'm really enjoying Raines, The Black Donnellys makes me happy (Kevin!), and the latest ep of Drake & Josh was just fantastic- funny, cute, ridiculous. House, NCIS, and Boston Legal are still interesting, but i'm just not feeling the *squee* right now. but i'm squeeing big time over the Dresden Files. i've seen all the eps (season finale this Sunday!), i'm on book two, and i am more than a little in love with Bob. i haven't fallen this hard for a character in a while. although i did fall pretty hard for Ianto. 'What About Bob?' and 'Things That Go Bump' were fantastic and as usual, just when i thought i couldn't love Bob more, i do. and as much as i'm loving book!Bob, tv!Bob is starting to own my soul. i want to marry him and have little ghost!babies with him. and Harry/Bob is currently occupying about 70% of my thoughts while i'm awake. i have no idea how much when i'm asleep.

school is school. classes are getting interesting though. this Monday i get to flintknap and make my own stone tools. here's hoping i don't get flakes in my eye *crosses fingers* also, sometimes, i really love my school- Donkey Kong Climbs E2 or What To Do With 6400 Post-Its and Time to Kill.

oh, and over the weekend i went to Disneyland for my friend's 21st birthday. i hate flying. oh good lord, i hate flying. but it did allow me to finish "Storm Front." plus, i just love hanging out in hotel rooms with my friends. i only drank Diet Snapple, but i was just as loud and obnoxious as the rest of them.

tonight, i'll watch the behind-the-scenes thing for SG1, but then i'm going downtown for a midnight showing of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khaaaaaaan! i am so going to cry.

The only ST:ORG movie I've seen was the one about whales. I NEED to see The Wrath of Khan one day, even if only to get the KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! jokes.

ah, The Voyage Home? good movie. of course i'm a little biased because it takes place in San Francisco ;)

but YES, you do need to watch The Wrath of Khan! and as soon as possible. but then you need to watch The Search for Spock right after it.
