The sherlockbbc Nor Cal meetup was today and I wasn't sure if I should go because I wouldn't know anybody and you just never know. But I convinced myself to go and I'm so glad I did. We had lunch at The Pig and Whistle (good pub food - I had a pastie and sausage rolls because I'm a fatass LOL). I had a lot of fun talking to everyone (there were 11 people I think) and it's always nice to talk to others who understand your geekiness. As we were leaving, the pub started lowering a projection screen to show Jaws. No idea why, but I love them for it. [PS I was wearing my Velociholmes shirt today]

After lunch, we made our way to the California Academy of Sciences.













We went to a show in the planetarium, which I was thankful for because I hadn't been able to go the first and only time I've been there since the renovation. As expected, I miss the old one, but it was still a lot of fun. So glad I went.

My mom actually spent the day in Golden Gate Park waiting for me and taking pictures, so I just met up with her and we went to Safeway for a few things (got a delicious sandwich and some pretzel M&Ms) and then home. As soon as I got home I got online and found out that my icon had been picked as the favorite for my team and is now the default icon of hv_teamlogic! I'm glad other people liked it. I made it at like 3am and everything is funny at that hour. I also saw that angrybeige had TWO new comics out. A glorious day indeed ;D

I recorded the SyFy movie Behemoth but I have a bit of a headache so I might save that for tomorrow. I also bought this Sherlock Homes DVD collection at Target for $2 but have no idea if it's any good so I'll probably give that a try tomorrow too.

I was at the California Academy of Sciences a couple of months ago. It's a really fun place - and I really enjoyed the planetarium show. Those photos are great - especially for camera photos.

I do enjoy it. I just wish I didn't have such an attachment to my memories of the old building. It'll never be quite the same to me :)

I'm trying to remember if I posted about it earlier, but I know I didn't talk about it much. I'll have to be louder next time :) I know Benedict's Frankenstein is being shown at the Kabuki theater in Japantown in April and the group is thinking of maybe doing a meetup for that too. Click on 'Buy Reserved Seats' near the top. Yes to the Kabuki, then middle option for future shows, and then go to April 2011. It's playing on the 2nd and 4th but it sounds like most people are going to the April 2nd show. Tickets are going pretty quickly. My friend and I already got ours :D

I like to call it CAoS (pronounced 'chaos') but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one, LOL. Either way, FTW indeed!
