HOUSE!!! (and Colin Firth)
Sep. 16th, 2008 05:28 pmSo I feel kind of crappy today. I think from all the traveling and whatnot, I've developed a bit of a head cold. Planes do not agree with me. Luckily I had nothing to do today so I just stayed in bed and watched Pride and Prejudice (the version with Colin Firth, of course) as well as The Importance of Being Earnest. I put St. Trinian's on DVD somewhere and if I can find it, I'll watch that later too. Over the weekend I watched Trauma and then watched Bridget Jones's Diary with my friends because one of them had never seen it. As you can see, I'm slowly working my way through every movie Colin Firth has every been in. And I'm enjoying it immensely. As I'm also enjoying this picture a great deal <3

Tomorrow though, I have a job interview. Let's hope I'm feeling slightly less blah. Ugh, I think I'm going to take some drugs with dinner. I can't tell if I have a fever or not and I'm too lazy to check.
However, some good news - ALL NEW SEASON OF HOUSE STARTS TONIGHT!!! And we're ordering pizza and making a little family night of it. Since it's one of the few things we all like to watch.
Anyway, I'm off to watch House and then crash. I need sleep if I'm going to be even slightly productive tomorrow.

In other news, in two days my 'little' brother is turning the big 2-0. I say 'little,' but I should just say younger. He's like 6'3" now, taller than our dad.
Oh, and I have a DMV Handbook again. Only this time after I get my permit (for the 3rd time), I'll be taking actual driving lessons. So, by October I should be a licensed driver.

I don't know if you guys read the Best Week Ever Blog (http://www.bestweekever.tv) from VH1, but two posts in a row have had something that really made me happy.
1) http://www.bestweekever.tv/2008/08/14/help-me-find-a-new-mancrush/
Blogger Alex Blagg is looking for a new mancrush. Included in his list of potential crushes are:
Ryan Gosling - "Ever since that one time when I was drinking alone at home and stumbled across a late-night screening of The Notebook, whenever I see this guy, I get this strange sensation of man-ttraction, but also kind of want to cry. Bonus points for being a fellow beard-enthusiast."
James Franco - "Just seems like the kind of dude you could hang out with and smoke a bowl, have a few laughs, and it not even be weird when you told him, in the most heterosexual way imaginable, that he’s one of the most beautiful people you’ve ever met and he looks like a baby when he sleeps."
Russell Brand - "I don’t even really know who this guy is, but he looks like a desert flower and I have this inexplicable urge to do it with him."

2) http://www.bestweekever.tv/2008/08/14/10-celebrity-chefs-that-would-make-great-spies/
After the news that Julia Child was a spy, Sara Schaefer thinks about what other celebrity chefs would make excellent spies.
Alton Brown - "This is a no-brainer. Alton Brown is the MacGyver of cooking. He understands science. He’ll easily design a supersonic spy jetpack for himself using nothing but egg proteins and yeast bubbles."

Also, the Mighty Boosh - the original double. ( Under the cut because it's full size. )
I should get some sleep. Tomorrow I'm going berry-picking.
*shrug*
I'm rather tired right now and I have a headache, but I'm staying on campus until at least 8:30 to go stargazing and get some extra credit for my 'Stars' class. (I'll do that another day. I need to sleep.) Speaking of which, I have a quiz in that class tomorrow and I'm not too worried about it, but it does involve some math and while it's high school math, it's been a while for me. I even went to the optional section today in order to get help, but the TA (while he might know his stuff) is a terrible teacher. I feel really bad for anybody who is taking this stuff for the first time. They won't learn a damn thing. From him. The actual teacher is cool. And English ^_^
I think my headphones were shocking me. I'm afraid to put them back on o_0
Yesterday in my Cult TV class, we watched the first episode of The Office (UK) and the teacher put the subtitles on. I keep forgetting that not everyone here watches British shows and can understand what is said. I just find it amusing that we needed closed captioning on a show that's in English. We might get to watch some Spaced tomorrow though!
Also, I was flipping through the channels last night and all of a sudden I see a mass of black and big hair. I pause. Go back a few channels. It's Russell Brand on Jay Leno! ( Which I just found online. )
Possible Heroes spoilers?
