anam cara

my chest has really been bothering me the past couple of days. what's been even more disturbing is that it's hurting on the left side. so, being the hypochondriac i am, i spend the last 5 days or so convinced i'm going to die. yeah, not a good way to start the new year. so today, after my class, i go to the clinic. there's a bit of a wait (about 2 hours), but since i got there around 11 and my next class isn't until 5, i'm not too worried. well, not worried about the time. i'm seen and the doctor tells me that from my symptoms and what he's seen, my heart is fine and i've probably torn or ripped a muscle in my chest. obviously not too severe, i can still function, but nevertheless, disturbing. he says it might take about 2 weeks to heal or more if i aggravate it. considering i have heavy books to carry around every other day this quarter, i'm thinking it might take me a while. he said to take ibuprofen every 6 hours. and what's really annoying is that the pain seems to radiate into my left shoulder as well. and my wrist is hurting. bastard. well, at least i'm not dying o_0

on a less depressing note, i got out of section early. it was our first one and since we've only had like one class, there really wasn't much to talk about yet. we signed our names and went on our way.

so, this year is not ending on a very good note, nor will it be starting on one. first my Paint Shop Pro stopped working and that made me depressed. i finally get a paid account with 105 icons and i can't make any more icons. universe? you're a bitch. but then i find out my brother had the disk so i thought, fine, i'll lose everything but i'll reinstall it. but before i even get to that, my internet stops working and now i'm scared to turn my computer back on. i'm going back to school next wednesday and hopefully i can get it looked at soon by the computer people, but i don't know what i'll do if i lose everything. it's kind of sad how much of my life i have inside that computer. i've been in bed all day, not even wanting to speak to anybody. i can't even watch Torchwood 'cause it's on my computer! and now i can't finish/work on my moodtheme or my fanmix. the moodtheme, btw is Ianto Jones (with some Jack/Ianto) because he just might be one of my favorite characters ever. *sigh* 'Dorky,' 'Loved,' and 'Naughty' were my favorites.

so i've been trying to think of happy things. this is what i've got so far:

* i had a dream about Ianto the other night. he was sitting with my family and i got to sit next to him. in my dream i had a crush on him so i was acting nervous, but it turned out that he liked me too. however i only got as far as us smiling at each other before i woke up. still- it was a good dream.

* right now i'm printing out Jack/Ianto stories to read while i try to NOT think about my computer.

* Torchwood tomorrow! i hope i get to see it before i go back to school though.

* i've changed the second title of my journal. used to be "my happy place" and now it says "King Ianto's Coffee Club. Join it for everlasting peace and damn fine coffee."

*GIP i'm not sure how much i like it. i had to make it on my brother's PSP and he doesn't have my stuff :( still, it amuses me to see Ianto reading jackxianto

and i had just written all this stuff but Mozilla closed on me and i
guess didn't save it :/

i'm sick. i feel like crap. i had a REALLY bad night last night and i
only got out of bed about an hour ago. i was supposed to see my
friends today but that didn't happen. it couldn't happen. my skin
hurts. my mom seems to think i got sick from being stressed out lately
over school and i left myself open for infections and whatnot. maybe.
i just hope i start feeling better soon. i have more school before the
quarter is over and finals will be coming up shortly.
