I actually ended up getting the job. I have training on Thursday. Again, it's part-time seasonal stuff and it's minimum wage, but it's a starting point. I'm still going to be interviewing with other places to maybe work part-time there too. This also means that I probably won't be able to watch my shows when they actually air. A small detail, but still. I'll miss the live feeling.

In other news, I'm highly amused rewatching Zombie-Loan now that I know at least 3 voice actors are also on Junjou Romantica - Nowaki, Hiroki, and Misaki. In fact 'Misaki' asked to kiss 'Hiroki.' That was kind of weird ;)

Now... I'm going to watch some of the movies that have been clogging up my hard drive and then Heroes is on tonight!

Not looking forward to LJ being down tomorrow, but hopefully it'll be back up by the time I'm done with my interviews. I guess I can also use that time to think of my Christmas wishlist. Which reminds me,

XMAS CARDS!!

Every now and then I'll link back to that post so if you missed it the first time around, you can still get a card ^_^

It's only been a week, but it feels like a lot longer. Well let's see... I've officially graduated from UCSC. Now I'm just waiting for my diploma in the mail. I ended my college career with a 3.58 GPA average (could have done better, but I'm not complaining). This last quarter I got two As and a Passing (which would have been an A, but it was mandatory P/NP).

Other news, my stepmom's work needs someone to do temp stuff and it looks like I'll have a job this summer (or at least part of it) ^_^ And other than reading Death Note, that's all I'm really doing for the rest of this month (I need an L icon). Although I did FINALLY get one of the new Torchwood books that I ordered. So I have that to read too. And the rest of the Dresden Files books. I'm only in the middle of book three.

However, in July I'll be going to Canada for a week (random family vacation) and then flying to San Diego for Comic-Con! There will also be new Psych, the new Stargate movie, the new X-Files movie, new SGA, my mom's birthday, I move out of my apartment, and I'll be planning my trip to Europe with [livejournal.com profile] pinkpurpleponie to see the Mighty Boosh live!!!

PS It's FUCKING HOT HERE. At least I'll soon be watching last week's Doctor Who as well as some other shows. At the moment I'm trying to find the Death Note anime.

PPS This is fucking gorgeous. Atlantis, anyone? Oh, and nerdy aliens FTW ;)

So it looks like I got my mom's cold. Dammit. I can't stop sneezing. I never sneeze! I feel like Daniel from the movie/early seasons.

I also only just watched my 50th movie this year (out of the 100 I'm trying for). It was Stardust and I really liked it - very pretty and fun to watch.

In better news, I signed my papers today and I'm officially working for my teacher as a writing tutor/reader. Well, I suppose it'll feel more 'official' when I've done some work and/or got paid.

For my birthday, my brother got me season 5 of SG1, [livejournal.com profile] pinkpurpleponie got me the SG1 mug, and Lexis got me the Zombie Survival Guide.

Classes are going fine... I've eaten a lot of cake the past week and I'm going to eat more this weekend when I go to my dad's. And I really don't have anything else to say I guess. House was good (still love Wilson); NCIS was better this week; I didn't really watch Boston Legal.

I want a burrito and it's freakin' freezing outside. That is all.

I now own Hot Fuzz \m/

I went to the mall yesterday with my friend and got Hot Fuzz for me and 300 for my brother. Unfortunately, the day wasn't all happy. I went with my mom to visit my grandma. She's in the hospital for PT because she sprained her ankle. She was having a bad day and kept saying the gas was on and called her daughter her sister. It was really hard for my mom to see her like that. Thankfully, she seems to be doing better today though. She's eating more, walking to the bathroom by herself, and she sounds better.

I dyed my hair red and it looks nice with my natural dark brown color. I've never dyed my hair before, so I had my mom do it for me. She's pleased with how even she got it ^_^

The Simpsons Movie was awesome and really funny. I <3 Homer.

The other day, I got an email from one of my previous archaeology teachers saying that she needs help with one of her classes and is looking for a 'reader.' I email her back saying that if she's still looking, I'd love to do it. She emails me back:

"I AM still looking, and you are "it" - only person still in school (hence eligible for readership) to have taken the class and got an A. I will be back 9/20, and perhaps we can talk early in the week that school begins. An email to me once you are back in town will remind me."

Even if I don't get paid that much and it might only be for a quarter, I'm kind of honored to be singled out (and every little bit of money helps). Plus, it'll look good and I'll get to work with an archaeologist (even if it's just for grading papers). It feels weird actually doing something other than just going to class. I feel like I might actually become an adult some day. I still feel weird about turning 22 in two months.

What else? Drake & Josh this Friday!! I'm going to order pizza and watch Drake & Josh, Doctor Who, and Psych. I love Friday TV.

Also, two weeks until I move in to my apartment with Lexis; and that weekend I'm leaving for a road trip with my dad, sister, and step-mom in an RV. We're going down the coast of California. Should be interesting. Maybe I'll get some reading done along the way. We're out from the 12th to the 18th of August. And my brother's birthday is on the 21st. Weee!

feeling kinda Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting nervous

at around 11 am, my dad (who lives in San Jose) drove to our home (in Daly City) to drop off the computer parts that my brother had ordered- Geoffrey's building his own computer. my dad drove home. then he called me saying that at my step-mother's work ( Alara)they need help (and the person doesn't need previous experience). so by 3 pm, i was on BART on my way to Fremont where my dad picked me up. and tomorrow i start the first job i've ever had. and i should have it for a couple of weeks. and i can wear jeans. and listen to my MP3 player while i work. i think i'm going to be in a room by myself checking equipment and making sure things work. apparently they have about 12 pages worth of equipment they need checked, so i'll be busy.

also my hands smell like beer and onions. mmmmm... bratwurst.
