a Picture a Day - Day Two
Feb. 2nd, 2011 07:33 pmHomemade baked mac & cheese. None of that fancy egg, flour, cheese sauce crap. Just boiled elbow noodles and cheddar layered like a lasagna. With a little milk poured on to keep it from burning and pepper sprinkled on top. Bake covered with foil at 425F for 45 minutes and then uncover for about 5 to really crisp the top cheese. Now, as far as I'm concerned, the ONLY way to eat baked mac & cheese is to top it with stewed tomatoes (Mexican style is my favorite). And for the record, this is like my favorite food ever. I'm a simple girl :)
