Work is kind of stressful right now. I'm trying to think about work only while actually there so I don't go and have a panic attack. I've only been there since late November, but I already know I won't be doing this forever. Anyway, day off. Don't wanna think about it.

Even though I'm a little late to the party, I have fallen completely head over heels in love with the Korean drama Coffee Prince (which I just finished today - 18 hours in 8 days).

SYNOPSIS: The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. At first, I thought I'd give it a shot because it sounded fun and I'm a sucker for 'guy falling in love with girl pretending to be a boy' stories. However, it quickly turned into much more than that.



All my OTPs in this show are the actual canon!het pairings. Though not unheard of, this is slightly unusal for me. But I just can't resist love. No matter how bitter I am get, I'm still a hopeless romantic at heart. Plus, the main couple is childish (pouting, playing with each other, singing, etc.), adorkable, and so in love with each other that they can't stop smiling - OMG the smiling *melts*

This show also deals with issues of love and sex more seriously than I would have expected. I'm glad it did though. It made me want things to work out with these couples even more. The show also took things slowly, which was slightly frustrating, but prevented it from seeming too unrealistic. And then when things do finally happen, it just makes it that much more satisfying.

Unlike so many other female main characters, I absolutely adored Go Eun Chan. She's the kind of person I want to be like. And Choi Han Kyul, the male lead, was brilliant. When we first see him, he's lazy and charming, but not in a sleazy way. He's the son of a rich family and has only ever done what he's wanted. He's also lonely but then he meets Eun Chan and she shakes up his world. Trying to describe it makes it sound cliché, but one thing I really loved about it was how UNcliché it actually is. Plus, Han Kyul loves (and hates) with his whole being, so seeing him in love and smiling... you can't help but smile as well ♥

The supporting cast is also brilliant. The relationships between the characters in Coffee Prince remind me of the students in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and the coworkers in Antique. Even if there was no romance, I'd still watch just for those friendships.

Either way, it's all about the love <3

I really want to watch this too!Although for a different reason.Lately I've come to really like the Waffle Guy a lot.Watched him in Antique bakery first that's why I am dying to see a drama he's in!Even better that this drama is Coffee Prince!

I'll be honest. That's why I started watching this drama in the first place. I liked him in Antique as well and when I noticed he was in Coffee Prince, I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did, and I'm sure you will be too ;)
