I'm too lazy to write about the two most recent eps of Torchwood but I'll just say
They were both wonderful. 'Adrift' was, despite being a Gwen-centric episode, quite interesting. There were problems I had with how Jack went about things, but it was still a pretty powerful episode. Made me tear up quite a bit.
'Fragments' was also wonderful. I really liked getting some background on the team, although I just have to say, Ianto's left even more questions unanswered. For an episode that shows us more insight into the characters, we still know very little about who Ianto really is. And I like that. I'm curious as hell, but I like it. It's like watching The X-Files again. For every question answered, 3 more pop up.
And as much as I loved the Jack/Ianto scene in 'Adrift,' that scene in 'Fragments' was even hotter/more powerful.

Yesterday, I went to the mall where I bought myself some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle thingies at Hot Topic, some Skullcandy headphones, a
with bright yellow, blue, and pink dinosaurs (50% off sale price - $17 to about $4), and I used an Old Navy gift card I have had for years and because they were having a Spring cleaning sale, got a sweatshirt (half off) and like 5 shirts that used to be $15 but were now $2.99. I also got my friend a birthday present since that's coming up in April. Oh yeah, and I bought the Stargate magazine mainly for one line in an interview with Michael Shanks - "I'll never truly say goodbye to Daniel - I'll end up in an asylum, just rocking back and forth going, 'But Jack, this is the way I feel about it - what do you think?!'"
Today, I had lunch with my dad and sister at McDonald's. My sister and I both got Happy Meals (my dad must be so proud - she's 12 and I'm 22). She got Belle's necklace as the toy and I got Jasmine's crown thing. I'm still wearing it actually. I was going to get chicken nuggets, but then I thought they might hurt my gums, so I got a cheeseburger instead.
Tonight, my dad, stepmom and sister are going to a play and I'm gonna order pizza and watch TMNT for about the 6th time this week. Okay, more like the 4th time, but still.
PS I just found out that the TW books take 3-5 weeks to ship and I'm not expected to get them until the end of April. Grrrr! Oh well, at least my dad is paying for them. Although I'm tempted to tell them to cancel their order and just give me the money so I can buy them at Borders.

Date: 2008-03-30 11:13 am (UTC)I wonder if the team realises that Jack and Ianto probably did it right on all their desks?
SG-1... &hearts&hearts&hearts I miss them too. Though, right now I'm re-watching Season One. :D It's so funny to watch the first few episodes and see how new they are to it all.

Date: 2008-04-05 02:18 am (UTC)I miss old school!SG-1. I've been having this urge to go back and watch from the beginning and I might just have to now. I can't wait until the second movie comes out though. But it'll never be quite like it was.
*sigh*

"I'll never truly say goodbye to Daniel - I'll end up in an asylum, just rocking back and forth going, 'But Jack, this is the way I feel about it - what do you think?!'"
LOLZ. XD O, Michael. ::pets him::

Date: 2008-03-30 05:53 am (UTC)Were the two eps of TW from the first or second series?
(In the animation scene [from the second series episode 'Fragments'], they're trying to sedate a pterodactyl, Jack grabs onto its leg as it goes flying around, he falls, Ianto catches him, Jack rolls them out of the way of a falling, now-sedated pterodactyl, and Ianto ends up on top. They laugh, realize the position they're in, and you can cut the sexual tension with a knife. Also, this is all before Ianto even joins Torchwood 3.)
And Michael is adorable. If RDA ever goes crazy too, we can put them in a white padded room together and they can just keep saying
'Jack.'
'Daniel.'
back and forth forever ^_^

Date: 2008-03-30 04:43 am (UTC)Eeeeee Happy Meals! I used to love them so much; I made everyone give me their pickles from the hamburgers xD

Date: 2008-03-30 05:58 am (UTC)Happy Meals are fantastic! Mmmmm... pickles. Sometimes I'm not that hungry and dammit, I feel like a toy surprise with my food. Is that so much to ask?
I still get the crown from Burger King too ^_^

Date: 2008-03-30 01:18 pm (UTC)Oh, I ask for the crown if they don't give it to me.

Date: 2008-03-30 06:53 pm (UTC)Heh, I didn't know there were Hot Topic stores! I actually wanted to order from Hot Topic yesterday and then found out that they charge 36 dollars on a $7.5 order for shipment here, which is RIDICULOUS. So I obviously gave up on that.
"I'll never truly say goodbye to Daniel - I'll end up in an asylum, just rocking back and forth going, 'But Jack, this is the way I feel about it - what do you think?!'"
Oh, Michael Shanks, how I love you.
Oh! And those shoes are brilliant. :)

Date: 2008-04-05 02:12 am (UTC)Oh yeah! I love the Hot Topic stores. They always smell like incense. But that is a ridiculous price for shipping. Good grief.
Michael Shanks deserves a great big hug!
And thank you ^_^ I love my new dinosaur shoes.
