i'm looking forward to Thanksgiving break and soon, Christmas break, but that also means that the quarter is ending and everything is getting hectic- fast. also, i'm hating the world right now.

i went to see Casino Royale with Casey and friends the other night. i actually really enjoyed it. it didn't hurt that Daniel Craig was looking good. RAWR. of course any movie is better when seen with friends who make fun of stuff with you during the movie. when they had that one scene of the train, Casey and i turned to each other at the same time and said "HARRY POTTER!" and then laughed for a good 5 minutes. i pretty much knew what was going to happen, but that didn't make it any less fun. that one guy with the asthma reminded me of Bartleby and it was freaking me out just a bit. also, i couldn't really take the digitalis poisoning seriously because of The X-Files (ep "Eve").

after the movie, we went for burritos (yum!) and then Casey and i went to Hollywood Video (where neither of us was a member so i had to sign up) and rented the 3rd season of Queer as Folk. however last night we only got up to halfway through ep 6. Casey's boyfriend came over and watched some with us. don't think it's his cup of tea. Casey decided to make a game of it, and took a sip of beer for every sex scene. but by the end, when two guys looked at each other, she would say "That counts!" and drink ^_^

now i'm back in my dorm trying to get my lazy ass to do some homework! i've been putting stuff off and if i don't start now, it'll kill me. *headdesk* and tomorrow i'm supposed to go to the library with Casey to start research on my 10 page final paper for Native Peoples.

i have a couple slash-minded friends, but we don't really have the same fandoms. or rather, i'm the only one obsessive enough to actually have fandoms ;) they'll put up with me for the most part, but i don't have any friends as enthusiastic as i am about this stuff. i guess that's what the internet is for.

That meme reminds me of grade 10 when I was in the short-lived school Trek Club. We had to take a quiz and recieve a rank - the person marking the test said I should either be the ship doctor or the chef. :-D

I was never a Bond fan (though, of course, watched and enjoyed the movies) but I've heard a lot of complains from various sources, when Craig had been selected to this role. Now, as the movie is out, everyone go 'ooooooooo, Craig, so great!'. Heh, guess someone feels a bit stupid now, hm?
I'm no better in that field though, when I heard they wanted Ryan Raynold to play Deadpool I was NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! not to mention all the eeeeeeeewing about Orlando Bloom playing Legolas. Yes, it was before I saw the movie. :P

but then again, you never really know how someone will work out until you actually see them in action.
