i spent most of my day making icons while listening to S Club 7 and now i'm drinking a Coke [bad me!] and eating a cookie [even badder me!] while listening to the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' soundtrack and having Bruce Campbell movies on in the background ^_^ oh goodness- i'm going to be so hyper i'll never get to sleep. something about listening to Halloween sounds or songs like 'This is Halloween' makes me so hyper and excited. maybe it's cause i'm an October baby. also, i've been dl and watching McShep songvids like crazy. do i sense another fandom coming on?

earlier this week, my friend Casey came over and we finally got to see the second season of Queer as Folk! she got to my house and then we went for Burger King, Starbucks, ice cream at the supermarket, and finally to Blockbuster. but they didn't have the first disc. so we went to the Blockbuster by her house and luckily they had them all. so we stayed up all night, ate macaroni & cheese and ice cream and watched 20 hrs of Queer as Folk. i have to say, i like Michael's new boyfriend Ben a lot more than i did David. but i'm still a Michael/Brian slasher at heart =) Casey wasn't too thrilled with Ted and Emmett getting together, but i must admit to finding it rather hot. i don't expect them to stay together, but i'll still be rooting for them.

i got to see Alexander and Hitch this weekend. Hitch was alright. i <3 Will Smith and some parts were kinda funny, but lately comedies and romantic comedies just don't seem to affect me. although i did laugh quite a bit at 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid' and 'Army of Darkness'. just in case i decide to say anything spoilery about Alexander, i'll put it under the cut with my icons.

so the beginning of Alexander was quite boring i thought, but it did get better. i liked it much better than Troy. all i know is that i was more depressed after that movie than i have been in a long time. i really enjoyed the scenes between Alexander and Hephaistion. even though they never kissed, they didn't need to. granted, it would have been nice, but there was still so much between them. so when Hephaistion died while Alexander was describing how their lives would be together, i started crying. and i mean crying. it was almost pathetic how much i cried. and continued to cry after the bloody movie was over. i mean i know i cry at pretty much everything, but sheesh! then Alexander went slightly crazy and that made me feel a little better. i was almost relieved when Alexander died not long after Hephaistion, because then at least they could be together again. i might make some icons of them later, but it hurts to watch it again. and now, because i want to and i love them, some quotes from IMDb:

Glad to know you've gotten to see the 2nd QAF (US) season. Marathons are the way to go! I find Ben is a better fit for Michael than David and like you deep in my heart I'm still a B/M girl at heart. No matter how little Cowlip gives us to go on. I can hardly wait for season 5 to come out on dvd. I haven't had Showtime since the 3rd season and have had to wait for the dvd to come out and see what happens.

i love marathons! as long as you have enough sugar and caffine to keep you going ;) i'm not sure what it is exactly, but i like Ben quite a bit more than David. [although that Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene was cute]. and maybe it's because i know they won't get together [i'm an angst whore] but i love the idea of Brian and Michael :) those two are so cute together [when Brian's not messing with Michael's head] :P i never had Showtime so i Netflixed the first season and rented the 2nd from Blockbuster. luckily i still have to see 3 and 4 so 5 should be out by the time i've seen them. and then i'm going to try and watch all of the British QAF. so many shows and so little time :)
