Because I've been bitten by the nostalgia bug. Because while there are many EPIC & ETERNAL love stories such as Kirk/Spock, these two were one of my first OTPs and Daniel was/is one of my all-time favorite characters ever. Because his 'death' in the season 5 episode 'Meridian' still makes me cry. Scratch that. Makes me weep. The kind of crying where your eyes get puffy, you get a headache, and your chest hurts from sobbing. He comes back. He didn't even really die. Not exactly. But SG-1 will always be like a family to me. There were shows I loved before (The X-Files) and there are shows I love now (too freaking many to name), but it will always be MY show. It's where I got my username. And Jack/Daniel will always mean more to me than I can explain. I actually can't watch too many vids or read too many fics in a short amount of time because it's actually emotionally exhausting to me. One of the saddest days for me was when my first laptop died. It had all my saved J/D fic, vids, EVERYTHING. I try not to think about it, but I see so little Stargate fandom activity these days and it makes me sad that I lost so much. These were the days with dial-up internet and I would be awake for hours downloading one or two music vids.

Thanks to so many vids like this, I will always associate this song with 'Meridian'/Daniel's death. And I will continue to cry like a baby.

But this is what I remember when I think of those two.

	Oh, God. This scene breaks my already broken heart into even smaller pieces. Jack sees Daniel alive for the first time since 'Meridian' and his voice breaks when he says 'Daniel?' <3 x infinity
	They like it a little rough.
	Jack won't let Daniel risk his life, and to make his point, he slams him into a wall.

	Jack's trying to calm Daniel down before he throws a (perfectly understandable) bitchfit.
	'Go to your happy place.'

	Daniel's place is under surveillance. He is aware of this fact and is sprawled on his bed.
	And Jack is creeping on him like a perv <3
	I FREAKING LOVE THIS EPISODE. ('Abyss') Jack wants to die and Daniel wants him to ascend and be with him.
	Jack doesn't believe he's capable of that, but Daniel knows better <3
	I love how they always run to the other one first even if other people are in trouble/need help.
	Oh, God. The beginning of Daniel's goodbye and telling Jack to just let him go *cries forever*
	A breeze blows past SG-1 (how many miles under ground in a top secret military base) and Jack smiles, knowing it's Daniel <3
	Jack the episode after Daniel ascended. He's become even more quiet and withdrawn.
