Soooo... I'm sure everyone and their mother has noticed this already. And to be fair, I did too, I guess it just never clicked or something. In The Eleventh Hour, when Amy first comes aboard the TARDIS, walks around the console, and asks the Doctor why her (Doctor says he was lonely), they stop for a second in front of the little computer screen which the Doctor turns off. But right before he does, it looks like there is static or something on the screen.

I thought it was odd that we kind of focused on that for a second, like it was supposed to be important. But for some reason, I just kind of accepted it and moved on. But I was rewatching the episode on BBC America today (gods, the editing :/) and it hit me like some sort of revelation. Even though it's not exactly subtle. And what's worse is that I feel like I already noticed it a while ago, but it's only now caught up to me. In other words, there might have been a *facepalm* involved.

I even compared it with another just to make sure, but the 'static' is definitely TEH CRACK.

So there you have it: My DUH moment of the day.

I had the same reaction when I finally realized there was a CRACK behind them in this promo picture. Though, in all fairness, there I was distracted by all the pretteh.

The "I love series 5" post

I haven't posted there yet, but I say WORD to just about everything in the comments. Also, I'm staying away from more general DW comms so I didn't even realize there was so much hate for series 5 :/ This series has made me more excited for a fandom (other than just shipping/slashing) than I've felt in a long time. I love the theories, I love the characters (main, supporting, one-offs), I love the writing, I love the creepiness, I love the alienness, I love Matt & Karen being adorkable together, I just love it all.

I haven't really experienced any of it firsthand. I'm hearing there's stuff going on over in [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho. From what I hear, it's most people still butthurt that David Tennant isn't the Doctor anymore. I'll admit, I was a little butthurt when Nine left but I gave Ten a chance and I liked him. But it was, once again, time for something a little different. Not to mention, it's not like Tennant was the only Doctor. He was called Ten for a reason, people. If you have a valid reason, that's cool. It's not like I have a say in what you can or can't like. But I know a lot of people haven't even watched the new series because they're upset Ten is gone. Now that doesn't make any sense to me.

... i don't get what reason they have to be bitter. he got three seasons. :| chris eccleston only got one. we don't know how many matt smith will get. idek that's like when people bitch and moan about their show ending and it turns out their show had like 10 seasons or something. it just seems... really entitled and spoilt, to me, to refuse to watch something or bitch about it solely because someone left the show. if someone left and they weren't SUPPOSED to leave, FINE, but the doctor REGENERATES. it was inevitable jeez. :| this is why i avoid fandoms at large, man.
