meme and baseball game fisticuffs
Jun. 26th, 2008 10:00 amI'm (temporarily) bored at work so here's ( my work desktop )
It's actually not that bad in the afternoon - after I've had lunch. But the morning for me is the worst. I feel like I haven't slept and if I'm not constantly doing something, I feel like I'm going to fall asleep.
Yesterday we went to an A's game after work. It was freezing cold, but at least I got garlic fries and $1 hot dogs. Unfortunately, I almost got in a fight with the idiots behind us. This kid was kicking the back of our chairs throughout the game. My dad finally turns around and politely asks if they could stop kicking our chairs. The woman sitting next to the kid, for some reason, gets really pissed and starts yelling that she hasn't done anything. She then kicks our chairs rather hard and says "That's doing something." Then some drunk and possibly high guy joins in calling my dad a 'crybaby' for asking them to stop kicking us. My dad gets upset because this asshole won't shut up/stop swearing. Then the girl next to him says something about my dad being rude, and I (for some reason) join in and tell her she was being rude. She says she didn't say anything, I say she just did, she 'thanks' me, I say 'You're welcome,' she tells me to turn around, I ignore her... Then the kid who was kicking our chairs comes back (I guess he went to use the bathroom or something) and that dumbass girl behind me tells us "Oh the kid's back. Do you want to yell at him too? Would that make you feel better?" o_0 Way to be mature, people.
It was kind of amusing though, because as we were leaving, some kid from one of the boxes above us was throwing food (?) or some crap onto the idiots behind us. The guy who called my dad a 'crybaby' actually got up to tell someone who worked there that someone was throwing food on them ^_^
I swear though. For a second, I thought I might get into a physical fight. I can beat you at words, but I don't think I can take a punch.
ETA: The day after I say that my state is on fire, a fire breaks out near my work - a block or two away. Just what we need - more smoke :/
