I was really worried about what I got on my Folklore midterm because I didn't feel very confident about it and it's the only class this quarter I'm not taking Pass/No Pass. Anyway, I saw that the grade was posted earlier today and I got 86.5%. That's quite a relief.

Right now, I'm working on a Theory paper and looking for classes to take next quarter (I sign up for them on Friday). Seeing as I'm done with the requirements for my major and I only really need classes for credit, I've decided to take whatever looks fun/interesting. So far, I'm taking 'Modern Cult TV' and 'Natural History of Dinosaurs.' I'm still looking for a third class, but I'm leaning towards 'Stars' because I love space and it's intended for non-science majors which means I won't be too confused, mathematically speaking ^_^

Although I'm staying in Santa Cruz on Friday so I can see the midnight showing of Shaun of the Dead, I'm thinking I might go to my dad's on Saturday so I can watch Torchwood. I don't think I could wait a-whole-nother week.

And my computer is not working with me right now, but I was able to find my silver boots on Amazon (here) and pictures




They're actually quite comfortable.

And this is ridiculously adorable. Watch it and don't smile. I dare you.

I just wear them with jeans or if I'm feeling really extroverted, my red jeans. I've only really worn them outside in the real world once and I happened to be wearing blue jeans and my AC/DC shirt. My dad thought it was rather fitting.

It's a student run seminar, but yeah. I was quite happy to find a poster for it at a bus stop. We'll be talking about The Office, Arrested Development, etc... The description online says "Focuses on cult texts and their opposition/reaffirmation of dominant ideology through three contexts: fan participation, industry practice, and critical reception. Explores Internet subcultures and communities organized by genre."

When I saw them, I had to try them on. When they fit, I had to get them. I'm not usually a big shoe shopper, but silver boots?! I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
