SGA
I fell asleep while waiting for it to re-air last night because I had watched Psych first - which wasn't my favorite episode. Something felt different and I don't like how they just left it with Shawn and Gus. I felt sorry for Shawn because Gus kept ignoring him and also because I know how hard it is to have a parent start dating again.

Right, so SGA... Not my favorite episode of SGA, but it had it's moments. I loved the whole who-would-you-rather game and the fact that Rodney picked Jon (Stewart, that is - not our John) was pretty damn funny. Like everyone else, I was a little confused/put off by their (unnecessary) remarks about Zelenka. What was that for? It wasn't funny, and I thought Rodney liked him as a friend?

Overall, the episode was kind of boring. Despite being in constant danger, nothing seemed to really happen. Although Carter got hurt. A lot.

Ashes to Ashes
It's no Life on Mars. I can see why people are kind of upset, and I was too at first. I don't hate it though. I'm willing to give it a shot because it looks kind of interesting. I'd like to see where they're going. And of course, Gene. Love Gene. Chris is still adorable. And Ray bashing that guy against the car when she said his name was really funny.

Since it's all in Alex's head, I can forgive Sam not being there. They are two different worlds anyway. I like to think that Sam is with the real team, somehow back in 1973 and Alex is just imagining the whole thing. At least, that's how I get to sleep at night ;) I do feel like I'll always be comparing it to LoM though and that something will always be missing :( Also, Gene doesn't feel as natural in the 80s as he did in the 70s. He seems sort of out of place.

I have to say, when Gene kept getting mad every time Alex would use the "" marks while saying his name and then told her to either punch him or kiss him, I kept thinking that maybe he was thinking about Sam. I have a feeling I'm going to be thinking a lot about that. Even though it's a different Gene. This show is going to hurt my brain.

Wow. It just ended and I didn't think I would start crying. That scene with Gene in his office where he looks at the tribute to Sam and then takes a drink... That kind of broke my heart :(

Also, I'm debating whether I want to preorder Stargate - The Ark of Truth or if I should just buy it in a store the day it comes out.

I don't think it's on Youtube. At least I haven't seen it yet. But I agree that someone should put it up there. Can you not download it?

I'm impatient too, so I know how that feels. TVLinks getting erased sucked, but there are some alternatives. I found one for A2A here -

I haven't actually watched the whole episode there, but hopefully it works. And Life on Mars is here -

I found A2A very good, didn't think Gene acted awkwardly in the 80s but we'll see with the next episodes. That scene broke my heart too even if I didn't think too much about Sam. Still hope they'll mention him and Annie later :)

Well, I felt a little bad for Gene having to deal with all the bureaucracy in the 80s. It just seemed like such a different time and place and that he's had to adjust a bit (which makes sense).

And overall, I rather enjoyed the episode, which I wasn't sure I would. It was the same thing with Doctor Who - once Nine left, I felt like I'd betray him or something by enjoyed Ten so I was very "I'm not really going to like this" but in the end I quite enjoyed it (although mostly series 3, I'm still not a huge fan of series 2). I'm quite looking forward to the rest of the series (A2A, that is) and I'm curious to see where they're heading. I just miss Sam and Gene together is all ^_^

Jon Steward FOR THE WIN \o/

I emailed The Daily Show and The Colbert Report yesterday with the scene transcript and the video of it so they can get a giggle. Maybe one of them can get the rights and do something with it on Monday.

That would be awesome if they could do something with it/mention it on one or both of their shows. I already love Stephen for talking about House all the time and just recently honoring Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Granted it was for him being black and Chinese... ;D

I may have flailed a bit when they mentioned Steve and Stephen. And Jon! Rodney would totally do Jon. Y'know, if he had to :-D

I can completely forgive the blahness of the episode because of that one scene.

I didn't really understand the Zelenka dissing either... Especially by Rodney! I liked this episode but not in my usual OMGTHISISTHEBESTSHOWEVER way, probably cause I'm not the biggest fan of the Rodney/Sam interaction... And there was no John and Ronon. :/ Poor Sam though! She just kept falling off those crates!

Gravity was not on her side in this episode.

And I'm not a big fan of Rodney/Sam interaction either. Which is too bad because I like the characters, just not when they're together.
