Yesterday was awesome. I met up with two of my friends to watch a movie. One of those friends I had not seen since senior year of high school. We've kept in touch, but four years is a long time. We had lunch at Fuddruckers and then watched Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I'm not good with actual reviews of things, so I'll just say this: It was awesome and you should see it. After the movie, we went downtown and met up with two more of our friends at Chevy's for happy hour. After that, I went over to my friend's house where her friend came over and we played Pictionary and then Apples to Apples. Kate and I named our team 'Baileys' in honor of Old Gregg ^_^ After games we watched The Simpsons Movie. Then it was time for bed.
We got up around 11 this morning, had a huge breakfast, watched Superbad (not that great of a movie), and then they dropped me off at home. An hour or so after that, my sister arrived in Daly City via BART. We picked her up, watched Spongebob and Hannah Montana, played Guitar Hero, and now she's watching the Sharks game while I check my email and LJ. Tomorrow we're going for dim sum and then my dad is picking her up.
Not last night, but the night before, I rented and watched Black Sheep which is wrong on so many levels. I enjoyed it. Of course, I watched it right before I went to sleep so I had nightmares about zombie sheep fetuses trying to eat me.

Date: 2007-12-23 05:14 am (UTC)I know a lot of people are raving about it and all but I'm not seeing Sweeney Todd because its my favorite Sondheim musical and I absolutely hate the trailers and really don't want to be disappointed. so I may just rent it at some point. I just have this feeling that I won't like it, I read review of it by a critic that I agree with 99% of time and they didn't like it either, that's usually a good indication for me!
oh my, that sounds like a wonderfully bad movie!

Date: 2007-12-23 05:20 am (UTC)I knew the story of Sweeney Todd, but I had never heard the songs or seen the play, so I suppose I had no hopes to disappoint ;)
And yes, Black Sheep was/is a movie that I'll never be able to escape.
*shudder*
