Use my name.
Jun. 18th, 2007 03:55 pmi am being completely overwhelmed by the awesomeness of Doctor Who. i mean, i loved the first series, i wasn't all that into the second, but i've caught up and become slightly obsessed with series 3 in about a week. i just watched 'Utopia' the other day. i don't have anything coherent to say other than i can't wait for next week. and then i can't wait until Torchwood finally comes back.
i've only seen half an episode of Life on Mars but i love it and i'm in the (slow) process of acquiring and watching the rest. i have six episodes at home, but i can't get them yet because i'm in San Jose. boo.
today, i made my sister watch the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. she actually like it. i'm always happy when she actually likes something from my childhood. she didn't like Ghostbusters though and that made me sad. it's Ghostbusters! oh well.
in boring, RL news, only 1 out of 3 of my grades is posted so far. i got a B+ in 'Archaeological Research Design' so a big sigh of relief for that. that was the one i was probably most worried about. now if they'd just post the other two... also, it seems that if i contribute by getting a job and whatnot, my dad and stepmom appear willing to help me pay for an apartment next year. i also might be sharing with one of my best friends, but that could go either way i s'pose.
my Vox mini-MOO cards have been shipped. so, yay. and while i'm here, i'm up to 27/100 movies this year; the latest being Spirit Trap (mainly for Billie Piper), Kinky Boots (for Nick Frost, but actually a really good movie), and Night of the Living Dorks (didn't realize it was German and dubbed in English- interesting movie; one of those obscene teen movies but with zombies!).
and now i'm off to shower and work on applications.
EDIT: more for myself than anyone else my other grades are up now; still no lower than a B-!
Arch Res Design - B+
Anth & Environment - B
Lithic Technology - A-

Kinky Boots (for Nick Frost, but actually a really good movie)
I've seen it a few days ago on TV and it was really good! I've watched it from start to finish which is an achievement in itself.

I must get my hands on a copy. Apparently, it was Sam Rockwell's first movie!
she didn't like Ghostbusters though and that made me sad
:O That's aberration. G and G2 are two of the best sf comedies EVER made.

they really are. i think it has something to do with her growing up with movies using so many computerized special effects and whatnot. kids these days just don't appreciate good quality stuff; classics. they also have the attention span of a ... i'm not sure what has a short attention span, but something like that.
