well, i havent really ranted yet. it makes me sad. so heres a small try:

im not too sure i liked the last episode of NCIS. i LOVE that show but i dont like it when shows make their characters date other people. i dont think that made sense but let me try to explain. i am a SLASHER. not exclusively though- i do like Mulder/Scully and Quinn/Maggie from Sliders- but for most of my fandoms, i like the men. so in NCIS, im a HUGE Gibbs/DiNozzo slasher and, granted tony is always chasing some woman, quite a bit of the show is gibbs/dinozzo banter (i guess thats the right word?) well, not banter but i just love the exchanges between those two. then they bring in some woman tony has a sort-of-past with and some unknown woman in gibbs' basement! she just there watching him work on his boat! its not right i tell ya! tony should be there. with Starsky/Hutch, i know that there is never a future with any of the women so i can for the most part ignore it. and even worse! they are doing the same thing with Stargate SG-1. there is NO chemistry between Jack and Sam so let that ship sink already! shit. besides, could anyone really see jack opening up to sam AT ALL? the only person he is ever even slightly honest with is Daniel for crying out loud! i guess i now know how the slashers on the x-files felt when they started pushing mulder and scully together. i was already a shipper for that show however so it didnt bother me. now i feel their pain. its frustrating because everyone is afraid that they will upset the public and they dont want to be inappropriate. screw that! you know these men belong together. there is nothing better than the love these best friends have for each other. (well, i dont think gibbs and dinozzo are exactly best friends but there is some sort of relationship forming there.)

oh! my friend, kim, did make me feel better though. we went to high school together but now she goes to school in Virginia. today, i got something in the mail from her. see, in high school, we were the biggest Lord of the Rings fans. we are also perverts :) so she got the calender where each day is a picture from the movies. on each picture, she would write a slashy and very dirty caption and then give it to me. after graduation i havent seen her so i havent gotten any more calender pages. but today i got like 3 or 4 months worth of calender pages and i LOVE them! she is a perverted genius. if i had a scanner, i would put them on my yahoo group (or my photobucket account if they ever let people sign up for free accounts again!) i could put what she wrote here but without the picture it just wouldnt be the same...

im also excited that my internet is still working >knocks on wood< and so i guess you can see that i have been taking every test and poll i could find and pasting it in my LJ. ive also been searching for icons but i found so many i lost track of who made what and so i wont use any of them if i cant credit them. but i will save them on my comp so i can enjoy them whenever i want. i have a million >well, not quite< Queer as Folk, Jon Stewart, Hal Sparks, X-Files, NCIS, etc... and they are all so beautiful. i wish i could make icons like that.

hey, something NOT fandom related: i had my last classes for the quarter today. no more oceanography, approaches to classical myth, or core. shame. we had the opportunity to do extra-credit for myth class and it was due today. i started my painting yesterday and finished RIGHT before class. it was still moist when i turned it in. as long as it counts, i guess.

i REALLY have to work on my final essay and study so ill write more later!
