*sniff* okay, i may be an idiot, but i don't care :P i just watched 'Stoke Me a Clipper' and i started crying. i want Rimmer back!! although Rimsy and Listy together were adorable :) Lister's the only one who knows Ace is their Rimmer and Rimmer even hugged Lister as he was leaving. i was actually already making R/L icons and while i don't really have enough to post a batch, i will post one icon in honor of First Officer Arnold Judas Rimmer.

I hate series 7, even 'Blue' can't save it (am I the only person that finds the kiss totally fake and forced, at least on CB's side?). It's horrible, horrible, horrible *starts to cry* Poor Arnold, yeah, I know, he's ACE now but I don't care! I want him back, him not the s8 Arnold, MY Rimmer!

I’ve never been able to force myself to watch s8. I know what it’s all about but I think I managed to watch 3 minutes of the first episode before throwing up turning it off. I know that, technically speaking, Chris was the one that left but still… :/

Honestly, I treat RD as if it ended on s6, you won’t find any indication on my LJ or in my fics that I know that a dreadful and horrible thing known as s7 exist. For a while I hoped that the whole s7/8 would turn out to be a hallucination (remember those bubbles they went through in Out of Time?) why not?! I can dream!

Plus, in s7 they try to change Lister from a slob into a hero of some sort. Well, he is not! Sod off and let the bum be a bum!

Hehe, I feel incredibly sad when I watch "Stoke Me A Clipper", too :( Especially when he finally becomes an officer! I feel so depressed when we see him leave in the spacecraft at the end...

But, good news! I am writing a fic about Rimmer returning, and I plan to do something very special with this fic indeed...:D Which will require the involvement of lots of RD fans! ^_^ Would you be up for helping? :D More will be on my LJ soon...*shifty eyes* XD

I actually prefer s8 to s7. Not that I like s7, but yeah. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say actually, carry on!

But also - it CAN indeed be a halluciation if that's what you want it to be. 'tis what fanfic is for. As a fan of Data in Star Trek, I refuse to believe that Nemesis really happened. Yes.

Nay, indeed! I mean, I loved it when I first saw it, but the more I've seen it, the more it just make me laugh. It's very... "We can't take this serious as we're manly men, MANLY MEN, I SAY!" Kinda. But It's still straight men kissing, so I can't not like it.

'Blue' was actually the first whole episode i saw, but at the time it didn't mean anything to me because i didn't know the characters. true, we get to see him again (and the Rimmer experience was hilarious), but then i just miss him more :`(

hehe. i love the picture of him after the Rimmer salute ;)

i've only seen the first two episodes and Blue of series 7, but yeah i know what you mean. it felt completely different. i no, you're not the only one who feels that way about the kiss, but i guess it's something. and i want OUR RIMMER back too!! i love Chris any way i can get him, but when 'Rimmer' comes back, it's just not the same :( and for some reason, it makes it even more sad for me that Lister knows his Rimmer is really out there and who knows what'll happen to him?

if you have to take a pill, then so do i ;)

i completely agree with you that they should have left RD alone after series 6. 7 and 8 felt too different and just didn't feel like my Red Dwarf. and why did they bring back Kotchanski?

want the good old smeg head Rimmer back with his ridiculous Rimmer/Double Rimmer salute, shoe trees, telegraph pole photo collection and numerous neurosis.

OMG!! as if i wasn't crying enough, they had to do that too! Rimmer watching while Lister made him an officer and Lister knowing it was Rimmer too...
