THE BIG BANG

spacemonkeyluvnA little late to the party because I was out of town, but watching this was the first thing I did when I got home.
HOLY SHIT I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN!
If you were to ask me who my favorite character was right now, I don't think I could give you an answer. I love everyone so much. Now, Eleven is made of so much love and I'm drawn to him something fierce, but you guys. YOU GUYS. Rory watched over Amy for TWO THOUSAND FUCKING YEARS. I can't even. I still don't think I've wrapped my brain around that one. I just. I'm so happy they have a happy ending. It's so nice to see good things happen to good people every once in a while. And Amy has her parents back! The Doctor tried to fix what he had broken. He helped her get her mom and dad back. This, for some reason even more than Rory waiting for 2,000 years (which is epic on a scale I haven't seen before), broke me. Both Eleven's goodbye to Amy before he flew the Pandorica into the TARDIS (gotcha!) and his goodbye to wee!Amelia telling her to have a good life and love Rory ♥♥
God, I just loved everything about this episode/finale. I love how things from the beginning of the series were wrapped up nicely enough for now, but the big question is still lurking. I love how Rory seems to officially be a part of the TARDIS TEAM now. I love that even though Amy got married, she's still travelling with the Doctor AND with her husband. I love the way the Doctor dances. I love Rory and Amy sitting together all snugly and slow dancing together. I love that Rory told people that the Doctor was the stripper at his bachelor party. I love that there is a friendship and understanding between Eleven and Rory. I love that they are Amy's boys. I love that they are funny together. I love that Eleven loves fezzes: 'Fezzes are cool.' I could go on and on, but it's past midnight and sleep is calling. I've rewatched the final scenes, but I think I need a proper rewatch. Preferably of all of series five.
I can't wait to see what series 6 has in store for us! \o/

SERIOUSLY THOUGH. THIS IS THE ONLY NEW WHO FINALE THAT I'VE COMPLETELY ENJOYED. EVERYBODY LIVES! AND IS OKAY! DESPITE 2000 YEARS AS A PLASTIC ROBOT MAN! IT'S SO HAPPY!
I LOVED IT ENOUGH THAT I MADE LONE CENTURIAN PAINTING WALLPAPERS. Which I really should post soon. Hmm. I need to write myself a note.

Date: 2010-07-11 06:56 am (UTC)I'VE BEEN SO TRAUMATIZED BY WHAT RTD HAS DONE TO US (AS WE ALL HAVE) AND I WAS SO SCARED ABOUT WHAT THE FINALE WOULD BRING. BY THE END I WAS CRYING AS MUCH FOR THE HAPPY ENDING WE GOT AS FOR THE ACTUAL STORY LINE ITSELF. EVEN THE SAD PARTS HAPPENED BUT DIDN'T HAPPEN SO IT'S ALL GOOD.
