Nov. 5th, 2008 11:36 amHow can we elect a President like Obama and still vote to prevent gay couples from adopting or gay people from getting married?
I know, unfortunately, that the fight for equal rights is a long and painful one, but this still pisses me off so much. I feel like crying right now, but for very different reasons than last night.

Date: 2008-11-06 06:43 am (UTC)But one woman said on the news last night that even if it passes, they'll keep fighting it. & right now, that is what I'm going to believe in: one victory for the opposition, but that can only mean the next one has better odds for the fighters. It may be blind, stupid, foolish optimism on my part, but it's just what I have to believe in when it comes to this. We'll keep fighting & hopefully, thanks to our future president's call to the younger people in this country, we'll get even MORE people to fight this bullshit.
