spacemonkeyluvni'm almost out for the summer!
i just have to finish this bitch of an essay, but that's only about 4 1/2 more pages. technically, the essay isn't due until Wednesday, but i'm going back to school tomorrow [i'm home right now] to finish packing, cleaning, and then check out, so i have to have my final ready to turn in then. it won't be my greatest paper, but it'll be done. then i have to respond [shortly] to two articles for lithics.
i was watching a special on Star Wars with my mom and all of a sudden i had to laugh. Jim Henson is behind the camera, talking to Frank Oz and all i can think is that Ernie is telling Yoda what to do ^_^
i've been having cravings lately to watch Red Dwarf, Jaws, and one of the most recent Star Wars movies. perhaps Episode II? don't know why. i also rented a movie i saw in Blockbuster just because Billie Piper is in it- Spirit Trap. i haven't seen any of the new movies out yet because i haven't had money/time. i hope to soon, though. i'm only up to 24 movies so far.
my LJ MOO cards came the other day. i love them. i accidentally ordered two sets though, which turned out to be a good thing. one set had lines on a few cards where the lamination or something ended and began again. also, i'll have to adjust some pictures when i actually buy a pack. my SG1 cards were a little dark. i can't wait for my Vox cards now.
i have to call my dad tomorrow to set up a time when he can take Lexis and me to Santa Cruz and look at apartments. it still feels a little surreal. i can't picture living in something other than my dorm room or home. and i get to live with one of my bestest friends.
also, i'm going to have to take/post pictures of my newest rat soon. his name is Ianto ^_^ he's mostly albino. i say mostly because he has red eyes but he does have some coloring on his fur/hair. it looks almost all white, but there's a light pink/brown shading on his back and head (he's a hooded rat). he's adorable. he's the most curious of our rats and he's also the most jumpy. i saw him jump completely off of the bed, not just hop. he's cute, i just wish he wouldn't pee on me.
that reminds me- the pictures, not the rat pee- that i have to post the pictures i took of the Stargate cake i made when i watched the series finale. i think i might be coming to terms with that episode. i don't think i'll ever watch it again, but you never know.

PS the Dublin Mudslide ice cream from Ben & Jerry's is DELICIOUS.
PPS does anybody else think it's kind of sad that a space shuttle launching into OUTER SPACE [well, orbit] is barely news worthy? i didn't even realize Atlantis was launching until my mom was flipping through channels and saw it on CNN or something. i still think it's cool to watch it take off. makes me miss Space Camp. in case you were wondering, Atlantis had a safe launch [June 8] and will be in space for 11 days. here's their mission overview.
