wanna know what i think about during my Earth Science & Cinema class? i think of bad geologist pick-up lines.

in class today, we watched Dante's Peak. that movie is both disturbing (volcanoes scare me) and highly amusing. although i don't think it meant to be the latter. and the grandma in the movie? is Catherine Langford from SG1.

so right now i'm supposed to be working on my Stats homework, but it's kicking my ass. hard. also, this Mac that i'm on ate my flashdrive and now it won't show up :/ i don't know what's up with that but i really don't want to have to buy a new one.

on a much happier note:

Dear Writers of SG1,

Thank you so much for realizing that if Daniel really did turn into a Prior, Jack would be there. I knew I had missed the Jack&Daniel banter, but I didn't realize just how much until this episode. Thank you for making SG1 fun again for me.

seriously, though? one of THE BEST EPISODES EVER! i don't care about plot or anything like that, but so much love for the Jack/Daniel <3 i'm so bad with explaining things, so just go here. i had been spoiled that Daniel was turned into a Prior, but i am so happy that i didn't know Jack was going to be there. i spent the whole time i was watching the episode squeeing and bouncing around. i haven't been that happy/excited over an episode of SG1 for a while now. i have it on my IPod and i've watched it more times than i care to admit.

and like the genius i am, i finally figured out how to make animated icons from an AVI file with VLC player. until now i could only make animated icons if i had the DVD. but i am honored that my first non-DVD animated icon was of a certain Jack/Daniel scene. i only made 7 icons and most are just variations of a couple pics (well, 8, but like i said, my flashdrive is kaput and i can't go online with my computer for now). nothing too special, but i NEEDED an icon of that scene. like i need air. i'll probably make more later.

yeah, the last couple of SG1 eps have left me a little disappointed, but this ep made up for it ;D
