I love how reactions to the new season of Heroes seems to be quite varied. I'm not going to go into great detail, but here are my
Heroes is crack. Pure and simple. I know it's probably bad for me, but I can't help myself. I'm sure there are many problems and plot holes, but you know what? I don't mind. I'm curious as hell to see where they're going with all this. And the heart of the matter (for me, that is)? I watch this show for the Petrelli brothers, Peter and Nathan. Them together with their unhealthy codependency makes everything else worth it.
I have my issues with some (okay, many) of the characters, but at the end of the day if we get another example of just how fucked up the Petrelli family is, then I'm all for it. I don't know. I'm just shallow like that ;D
But really, the first season I took it much more seriously. Then again, the first season feels like a completely different show. If both Nathan and Peter had exploded at the end of the first season, I would have had no real reason to keep watching. I feel like what's on now is some crazy ass AU. I'm still enjoying the ride, but it's a different feeling. But like I said, as long as I get Peter and Nathan touching, hugging, needing each other, each other's forgiveness, permission, whatever, then I can put up with just about anything.
OK, that's all I have to say about that for now ^_^
Oh, and I have another movie to recommend - Another Country. Yes, I did originally just watch it for Colin Firth, but it also has Cary Elwes and Rupert Everett. Oh, and it's a fantastic movie. Not the most uplifting of things (most really good movies rarely are), but I still highly recommend it if you haven't already seen it. In a coupleminutes hours I'll also be posting a picspam of Colin (and a few of Rupert and Cary) from the movie. They're so young!
