Writer's Block: A rose by any other name

My name was originally going to be Madison (after the mermaid in Splash), but when I was born my mother didn't think I looked like one. She said I looked like a Jessica (Logan's Run), so that's what they named me. And even though Jessica was like THE most popular girl's name the year I was born, in my high school class there were about 7 of us (we all went by last names to avoid confusion), I do love it and I wouldn't change it. It's a part of who I am now. I can't think of myself as anything else really.

They were also thinking about naming my brother Thor because of the thunder and lightening when he was born. But I picked Geoffrey and they went with that instead. Thankfully.
