No, I hear ya. And the fact that they killed him off just so Jack would have a reason to leave really pisses me off. I get that this is Torchwood and nobody lives very long, and Jack is a 'tragic' character who loses everything he loves, but really? I don't care what their reasons were. There was no need to kill him. Especially, as you say, since they already killed Tosh AND Owen last year.
