I finally got to see the first season finale of Dexter. I already knew what was going to happen, but that didn't make it any less powerful. Ignoring the whole 'he was a psycho-killer' thing, I felt really bad for Brian. He didn't get a new family. Nobody took care of him. Everyone thought he was damaged and didn't want to put in the effort. All he wanted was what was left of his family. His brother.
It also makes me look like this o_0 at that picture of Milo and Adrian (if Adrian wasn't sort of smiling, that picture could be really creepy) or any of those stories (which I love) about Nathan thinking of Peter as his.
I still really like the show, and need to catch up on season two, but I'm sad that they had to get rid of Dexter's brother so soon. I would have loved to have seen more of them interacting, especially as brothers. Dexter didn't know for very long that he was his brother. What was it? Like a day or two? We didn't even get to see them kill together. Now that is a shame.
Then again, I am a sucker for co-dependent relationships that are incredibly unhealthy for everyone involved.
