Been a while...
Jul. 21st, 2007 05:05 pmI am not reading book 7 because I haven't read any of the other books. I usually just wait for the movies. I am, however, reading all the spoilers. But that's not what this post is about, despite the use of my most recently adopted icon (which makes me happy).
Watching Life on Mars has made me realize how much I miss Starsky & Hutch. For the past couple of days, I've been rewatching some of my favorite eps from seasons 1, 2, and 3. I still don't have/haven't seen season 4 (I am ashamed of myself, really).
The past week has been eventful. I called PG&E and set up an account for my apartment starting in August. My grandma has now moved in with us now as she cannot live on her own any longer. While my mom is at work, and my brother does shit, I take care of her. This is difficult and rather frustrating because she is 91 and suffers from dementia. And even though my mom is her only child to actually take her in and give a damn, my grandma still thinks my mom is the 'enemy' and that she's a prisoner. She also doesn't sleep all through the night and causes my mom to miss out on the little sleep she can get. This isn't good for anybody involved. I was going to go back to my Dad's this weekend, but I think I'll stay and help out a little longer.
On happier notes: Hot Fuzz is almost out; Psych makes me happy; in August, I'm moving into my apartment and for a week I'm going on a road trip with my dad, stepmom, and sister. We're taking an RV and going down the coast of California. I never get to go anywhere, so that should be fun. No computer, TV, or internet for six days though. Let's hope I make it back alive.
I've also been cleaning out my room (well, making a dent). I'm trying to bring as much stuff with me to my apartment as possible so I don't have to spend more money. Also, what would I do with all the new crap in a year?
