Ugh

Work was okay. I'm too tired to even talk about it though. I started getting a headache right around the time I was supposed to leave so that kind of sucked but at least I didn't have it all day. I'm not feeling very well though. Something is wrong with my body again. And between that and LJ still being fucked up, I'm just more stressed and depressed than before. I went from being in a good mood to worrying about what should be my happy place. I'm in the queue to have my LJ imported to Dreamwidth and instead of relaxing, I'm going to start going through my memories and scrapbook and download/save what I can before I have to go to sleep. I hate that I even have to think like that, but LJ is more than just casual to me and I don't know what I'd do if I lost everything.

I still have 11 DW invites so if you need one, just let me know! PM me your email and I'll send one your way :) Also, if you have a Dreamwidth account, can you link it to me? Or just come find me there. I'm Spacemonkeyluvn over there as well. I'm also Spacemonkeyluvn over on Twitter. And Warpedinside over at Tumblr.

So I was thinking about selling a few things on my LJ. Stuff like DVDs I never watch, jewelry I never wear, and maybe some other stuff once I take a look around. I'd post pictures and accept payment via Paypal ($US). If someone wanted something, I'll be using this to calculate shipping (international is fine if you're willing to pay the shipping). I'd ask if anyone is interested, but I guess I'd need to post the stuff first ;) Is there anywhere else on LJ where I could post my stuff? It's not really fandom-related, and I've never done this before so I have no idea. I just need to clear up some space and as I'm currently unemployed, even a little money would be a big help. I was thinking about eBay, but I don't think I'd ask for or get enough money to make it worth what they take. There's always Craigslist too I guess. *shrug*

Other than that, today I was looking around online for some other baking classes. I found a possibility but it's more into bread making. So tomorrow will be looking for jobs. Online at first, trying to make a list of possible places to start. I'm thinking even something like Safeway or Costco because they have bakeries in them. At least I have something of a goal for now. Well, an idea. But that's a start :)

Also, why no-one on LJ is getting comment notifications:

‎So the last couple of days have been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me. Mostly down though. So more like a plummeting emotional elevator? I don't have the energy to go into it now, but at the moment, things are... okay.

Got a new manager at work though and I'm a little anxious. Only worked with her once so far. She seems alright, but I just don't really know. We'll see how it plays out I guess.

White Collar was wonderful. Loved the ending (and the bit right before, especially). Not happy it's time for the midseason finale already though. Psych was hilarious. Shawn being a fanboy was adorable.

Merlin's starting up again soon. I look forward to the insanity ;)

And I'm currently enjoying Grandma's House. Normally I wouldn't really be into this sort of stuff - I get TERRIBLE second-hand embarrassment - but I love Simon Amstell. I love that he can't really act and he looks like he's going to bust out laughing at any moment. It's all just part of his charm. Here are a couple of my favorite quotes from the first episode. )

And in fandom collision news, in an interview with Benedict Cumberbatch (my brother actually asked me if that was his real name) here, he was asked who his favorite actors/actresses were and he responded:

Stephen Dillane, Mark Rylance, Simon Russell Beale, Eddie Redmayne, James McAvoy, Casey Affleck, Ryan Gosling, Jimmie Stewart, Adrian Scarborough, Harrison Ford, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, Rod Steiger, Steve McQueen, Martin Sheen, Alison Janney, Sissey Spacek, Meryl Streep, Nancy Carroll, Juliette Binoche, Maggie Gylenhall, Amy Adams. There is an infinitely bigger list... God I hate lists!

Obviously I did the bolding there ;) But yeah. I don't know. That made me really happy. I 'know' that Ryan is a wonderful actor. I've seen it. And he was nominated for an Academy Award ffs. But I still see him as Sean Hanlon/Young Hercules. Either way, I'm proud of him.

And I'm proud of Toma! He is no longer considered a Jr. and now has his very own page

And for what it's worth: I won't be crossposting anything of mine or anyone else's to FB or Twitter. And while I doubt anyone would want to crosspost anything I've said, I'd rather you didn't. Right then. That's enough of that.

I just submitted my very first secret over at [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets 0_0

I have an interview today at 12:30 and I have at least 2 more tomorrow (possibly 3). They're mall/retail jobs, but at least it would be some money coming in for now. This living situation here at home is getting more and more difficult. But it's not going to change anytime soon, so whatever.

I'm going to go get dressed now, but Merlin was fantastic, as was Junjou Romantica (even though I only sort of got the gist of what was going on), and so was Jeff Dunham's Christmas special. I had seen him perform some of that stuff before though so it wasn't all new to me, but the parts that were new, were brilliant ^_^

PS STAR TREK TRAILER!!

Has LJ switched anyone else's icons on them? I have one that is supposed to be Shawn (from Psych) dancing, but instead it's this *points*

Unless you guys see the correct one. In which case, I don't know what's going on ;)

I had a dream about Merlin last night. Spoilers for latest episode )

Over the weekend I saw High School Musical 3 with my sister. I enjoyed it ;) My favorite part )

Also, stripper!Zac )

In Junjou Romantica news, I got my poster in the mail today. That was quick. Also, episode 4 has been subbed! And it looks like the next episode, six, will be Egoist as well. Unfortunately, it's from Volume 8 which isn't released here until January so I won't know what's going on. But that's okay because that's technically how I got into this fandom anyway. Anime first; manga second. I feel bad for anyone who's favorite couple is Terrorist though. Hell, even I feel like watching some Terrorist right now.

In RL news, one of my close friends got laid off over the weekend. She was only there for 4 1/2 months. And she's getting married in March :(

Hopefully she'll come with me to the job fair this Thursday.

And for what it's worth -
[livejournal.com profile] changeitback--A community for those dissatisfied with the new LJ profiles.

Please join this community. Even if you like the way the profiles currently are, please join and support those who are upset. This is about more than how profiles look: it's about the lack of respect LJ has been showing its users by not respecting their opinions and listening to their complaints. We just want to be heard, acknowledged, and have our thoughts taken seriously.

"Understandably upset over her fellow Californian's decision to prohibit gay marriage, aurally-inclined lesbian Melissa Etheridge has vowed to withhold the buckets of money the state would have reaped from her taxes."

Full story over at ONTD.

PS What's with the new profile? Do not want.

ETA: For what it's worth, I complained about the new profile page here. In like an 1.5 hours, there are now 32 pages of comments. Here's my comment.

(Thank you [livejournal.com profile] mrowrr for the link)

ETA 2: I completely forgot about the communities. That's even worse. Especially for people who are just joining LJ. You know, honestly, if the profiles and such looked like this when I was thinking about joining, I'm not sure I would have. They seem very confusing and intimidating. Bad move, LJ. Bad move.
